COLOMBIA LA CABAÑA GESHA NATURAL
COLOMBIA LA CABAÑA GESHA NATURAL
About this coffee
The Gesha (also written Geisha) variety of Arabica has almost a cult following amongst coffee lovers. It is known for its exceptional quality and flavour profile. It originates from the Gesha region of Ethiopia but is now cultivated in several central and South American countries.
Taste notes: orange liqueur, pink grapefruit, brown sugar, rum
Roast profile:
We used a balanced profile with a light-medium dark roast to highlight the fruity notes of the coffee but also with enough development time to produce a sweet, full-bodied coffee.
The producers:
The coffee is produced on the Cabaña farms in the south of the Huila region of Colombia by the farmer Danilo Perez
The process
The coffee is naturally processed.
The region
La Cabaña Farm is located in south Huila which has near perfect conditions for growing Arabica coffee and more so for the Gesha variety which is challenging to cultivate. This region has soils rich in organic matter, abundant water resources, ideal temperatures, optimal solar radiation and gentle winds.
