About this coffee

A sweet high SCA-rated coffee (89+) that is full-bodied with intense fruity flavours.
The washing station is based in Rumudamo a small woreda (district) in Arbegona region which is part of the Sidamo zone of Ethiopia.
The altitude of Rumudamo is around 2,200m above sea level and located at the highest altitude among other coffee-growing areas in the country. The 2020 Cup of Excellence competition awarded 2nd and 3rd Places to coffees from Rumudamo.
This coffee comes from small plots in the highland area of Arbegona which benefits from the very high altitude of 2200 MASL. Currently, the station works with 600 farmers. The station farms the 74112 heirloom varieties of coffee on 840 hectares of land and annually harvests 350,000 kilograms of coffee, which is processed mostly into washed and in a lesser amount, into natural coffee.
Coffee is the main cash crop in this area, though many other crops grow here such as sugar cane, false banana, spices and vegetables.
