- Espresso Workout Blend — Uganda Robusta blended with Brazil Eagle Monte Arabica, for a milder introduction to Robusta's extra caffeine and body. From £6.50.
Why this isn't supermarket Robusta
Most Robusta sold in UK supermarkets is commodity grade — harvested indiscriminately and sold cheap, which is where its reputation for bitterness and harshness comes from. Ours is different: sourced through Falcon Specialty, naturally processed, graded to Screen 15 and scoring 81 points on the SCA scale — Fine Robusta territory, a classification that barely existed a decade ago. Which one should I buy?

Is robusta coffee available in UK supermarkets?
Some supermarket blends include commodity-grade Robusta, mainly for cost and crema rather than flavour. Specialty-grade Robusta, like ours, is a different tier — naturally processed, carefully graded and scored well above the specialty threshold on the SCA scale.
How much does robusta coffee cost per kg?
Our roasted Uganda Robusta is £25.00 per kg (or £7.50 for 250g, £14.00 for 500g); green, unroasted Robusta starts at £16.25 per kg. Commodity-grade Robusta sold as a cheap filler is typically priced much lower, reflecting the quality difference.
Is there a decaf robusta coffee?
We don't currently offer a decaf Robusta. In the meantime, our Ethiopia Lala Salama Sparkling Water Decaf is our low-caffeine option, decaffeinated without chemical solvents.
